Invitation for Submissions for the Fritz-Wörwag Research Prize 2021

In order to support research and science in the field of biofactors Wörwag Pharma announces the 10th Fritz-Wörwag Research Prize.

The winner will receive € 10,000.

The prize will be awarded for research work making a significant scientific contribution and containing new experimental or clinical findings on the field of

“Biofactors in diabetes and its comorbidities“.

Only research contributions fitting in the following description may be considered for submission:

Biofactors are substances required by the body for its normal, physiologic functioning and/or with health-beneficial and/or disease-preventive biological activities. Dietary biofactors include vitamins and pro-vitamins, minerals, enzymes, peptides, amino acids, fatty acids, phytochemicals and similar compounds.

Comorbidities that can be considered comprise all health disorders associated with diabetes and include all diseases based on macro- and microvascular complications.

Papers and material published in 2020/21 are not precluded from application. comprehensive reviews may also be submitted. Significant preliminary findings can also be submitted before the completion of the entire work.

The size of the work should not exceed 40 pages (including tables, graphs, bibliography) and should be preceded by a brief summary of the objectives and results of the work.

The prize will be awarded on the basis of the decision reached by an independent jury. The judges' decision is final. Legal claims are excluded.

The submission should include the manuscript (in German or English) together with a brief curriculum vitae/résumé and a brief summary of the objective and results of the work.
